Manchester Metropolitan University: Data analysis, tools and methods

What is it?

At Manchester Metropolitan University we have expertise in psychometric assessment and Quantitative Data Analysis, helping with data collection, study design and scale development.  We have expertise in Big Data and health economics and work with a large number of organisations to gather, manage, analyse and apply data in order to provide new insights into enduring societal challenges, help our public service partners achieve their strategic priorities and improve their performance regionally, nationally and internationally.  Particular examples of the aspects we can support include Psychometric Assessment and Evaluation, Psychometric Development  and Support with Quantitative Data Analysis including expertise using a range of rigorous and sophisticated methods of analysis including, for example, confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modelling, mixture modelling, growth curve modelling, latent class/latent profile analysis, MANCOVA. Across the University we offer a range of undergraduate and post-graduate courses relating to data science and analytics and economic and financial analysis.

Why do it?

Primary reasons to use data analysis, tools and methods include determining the ‘quality’ of existing measures prior to their implementation. An example would be evaluating behaviour change in response to an intervention, or evaluating personality performance in particular contexts.  Data analysis can inform new insights, support policy development and help to improve data driven quality improvement.

We provide bespoke and tailored quotations for proposals related to data analysis and costs will vary dependant upon the piece of work.
