The NHS North West Leadership Academy works with members to create the conditions for leadership,  empowering people in the North West to  secure better health, care and  wellbeing outcomes.

Our ambition to unlock leadership as a social movement demands a radical, citizen-centred way  of working — innovative, inclusive, authentic, connected and agile.

• As a Local Leadership Academy (LLA) for the NHS Leadership Academy, the NHS North West Leadership Academy is the local representative for organisations in the North West to liaise with around
  leadership development.
• Wherever opportunity lies — within the system and across diverse communities — we work to  develop  compassionate leaders and  the conditions for inclusive, future-focused leadership.
• We move in pace with our members, open to new approaches and engaging with uncertainty  together. By  tracking developments  on  the horizon  we help  members gain a view ahead.
• Through these partnerships we commission and co-create informed, targeted interventions. Our support takes  many forms, such as access to specialist knowledge or resources, conversations that enable  change, or creating space for leaders to make sense of the evolving landscape and their role in it.
• As the potential for collective leadership is embraced, we play a bridge-building role between new movements and the many gifted and inspired leaders of our established health, care and wellbeing system.
• The NHS North West Leadership Academy actively works in collaboration in a partnering role to the GM Workforce Collaborative.  To support this collaboration and the Leadership Development Domain of the GM Workforce Strategy please use this link to access our website, which includes a range of resources and best practice to support the delivery of future focused leadership.
